The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will be accomplished in the area of Radiology. Expertise in the specific area of Nuclear Medicine is required. Responsibilities include work with the Nuclear Medicine Division at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine Department of Radiology, with which the PVAMC Nuclear Medicine practice is affiliated, as well as practice in clinical nuclear medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

The successful candidate will serve as the Chief of Nuclear Medicine at the Philadelphia VAMC. He/she should possess innovative leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively.

The responsibilities of the Chief of Nuclear Medicine include administering the service at the Philadelphia VAMC, practicing clinical nuclear medicine, training residents and fellows, conducting and supervising research, and effectively serving as a team member of the Philadelphia VAMC Diagnostic Imaging Service. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.

Applicants must be able to perform and interpret nuclear medicine stress tests, EKGs, and general nuclear medicine studies and have extensive PET/CT experience. Experience in clinical administration is encouraged. Applicants should have at least five years of post residency/fellowship experience in the field of Nuclear Medicine. Applicants must be a US Citizen or able to obtain US Citizenship and licensed in the United States.
