The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of pediatric and adult congenital cardiothoracic surgery and thoracic transplantation. Responsibilities include patient care in these specialties as well as teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (or equivalent) or eligible for such certification. This will include subspecialty certification or eligibility in Congenital Cardiac Surgery.

The clinical practice associated with this position will be focused both at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Candidates who have completed training through an ACGME-approved cardiothoracic fellowship program will be preferred.
