The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of assisted reproductive technologies and andrology laboratory techniques and practices; must be creative and work with many nationalities; and be proficient in experimental animal models, as well as possess a tumor immunology background. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
Responsibilities include planning, organizing and executing research projects related to the main scope and focus of the lab; organizing different resources to be utilized in the course of study; getting approval from different regulatory authorities; writing and disseminating research results by preparing manuscripts and presenting the research findings at scientific conferences. Additional training will be provided in clinical and/or basic science research related to this field.
