The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Responsibilities include Pediatric MRI with a focus on research and clinical expertise in musculoskeletal and abdominal imaging. The candidate should have experience with optimization of clinical sequences, pulse sequence design, quantitative image analysis and physiological imaging. The position requires at least 40% dedication to protocol and sequence optimization. In addition the physicist is required to support clinical research efforts. Independent funding is not required prior to appointment, but pursuit of funding thereafter is strongly encouraged. Other responsibilities include contributing to ongoing research activities and independent research endeavors. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications clinical in research. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

There are opportunities to participate in a wide range of collaborative advanced imaging studies, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), as well as dynamic contrast imaging and parametric mapping.
