The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Clinical Psychology with a focus on Anxiety Disorders. Responsibilities include designing and conducting studies on clinical outcome, treatment mechanisms, and psychopathology; conducting protocol therapy/assessments; preparing research protocols/scholary publications; and supervising residents/practicum students. The faculty member will be strongly encouraged to develop research programs in the area of anxiety disorders. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and clinical care.
Strong skills in evidence-based psychological assessments/treatments (e.g., CBT) and training in research and treatment of anxiety disorders required. Strong quantitative skills and previous experience in writing/administering grants preferrred. Candidates with track records of external funding in anxiety and related areas will be given preference. Opportunities available to seek funding for independent studies or collabrative studies at Penn.
