The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. They must also be board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine, have completed extensive, formal training in research methods, and have demonstrated exceptional promise for a career as a leading, independent investigator.

The successful candidates will be responsible for building a research program in areas of high relevance for general internal medicine, including but not limited to health policy research; comparative effectiveness research; health economics, behavioral economics, health psychology, clinical, genetic or social epidemiology, medical sociology, and disease prevention or early detection. He or she will also provide direct patient care in either the inpatient or outpatient setting, and he/she will have opportunities for participating in the Perelman School of Medicine's outstanding educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level.
