The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education. BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is required.
The successful candidates will join an interdisciplinary Palliative Care Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Palliative Care Program, and will play an important role in improving transitions in care, enhancing palliative and end-of-life care and overall quality of inpatient care. Responsibilities include patient care consultation and leadership of our Palliative Care Service and Palliative Care clinic, participation in outcomes measurement and quality improvement, clinical education for all level providers including palliative care fellows, and collaboration in palliative care research initiatives.
