The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of genetic epidemiology. Responsibilities include pursuit of independent scholarly investigations in genetics and epidemiology, specifically in the areas of vasculopathy and new-onset diabetes post solid-organ transplantation, and supervision of laboratory personnel, including research fellows. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop an independent but related research program in support of divisional research efforts. Past grant writing/reviewing/submission experience will be preferred, as will a solid publication record and experience with Mendelian Randomization approaches within large-scale studies.
