The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neurobiology with a focus on mechanism of drug dependence. Responsibilities include collaborative and independent research on genetically modified preclinical rodent models to study neurobiology of addiction. Applicants will be responsible for teaching graduate and medical students. Final candidate will have access to training opportunities including grand rounds, specialty lectures, and quality improvement initiatives. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care.
