The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on General Rehabilitation. Responsibilities include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of interdisciplinary care to a wide range of patients. This role will include attending physician for a comprehensive integrated inpatient and outpatient programs. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education. Board certified/board eligible.
Selected candidates need excellent clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our academic missions. Practice locations may include any of the Penn Medicine rehabilitation sites as well as the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. Selected candidates must bring well developed technical skills and be able to lead an effective multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. In addition, as an academic faculty member, the selected candidate will be able to teach medical students and residents. Experienced physiatrists with a track record of building programs are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in amputee rehabilitation is a plus. Fellowship training is preferred.
