The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine is required. Applicants with an MD/MBA are highly desired.
Responsibilities include: provide leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial, clinical, and research plans that reflect strategic initiatives and operational priorities of the department and consistent with institutional policies; develop a new compensation and incentive plan for Department of Medicine faculty; participate in strategic planning in concert with the organization’s goals that contribute towards access, market growth, revenue enhancement, cost containment, and maximizing clinical practice and research productivity; facilitate development of a long range strategic and financial plan for the department to assure continued financial health for the advancement of its tripartite missions of education, research, and clinical care. Qualified candidates will have strong leadership and clinical skills and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education.
