The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Epidemiology. Responsibilities include The Division of Clinical Epidemiology in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in Education and Research.

We are seeking candidates with research interests in the epidemiology of infectious diseases, genetic or molecular epidemiology of cancer, dermatologic epidemiology, reproductive epidemiology, renal & other areas of cardiovascular epidemiology, obesity, epidemiology of gastrointestinal diseases, and pharmacoepidemiology. Applicants in other research areas will also be considered.

Start dates are available as early as July 1, 2009.

The effective date of appointment will be 07/01/2009.
