The Department of Neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neuroscience. Responsibilities include development of a research program and participation in the education mission of the candidate's department. Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.

Special attention will be given to those applying innovative molecular approaches to rodent models. Highly competitive lab space and start-up funds are available for the successful candidate. The Department of Neuroscience is located within a vibrant environment on the U Penn campus. The Mahoney Institute for Neurosciences (MINS) includes more than 100 labs, spanning the breadth of the neurosciences, brought together to foster collaborative and multi-disciplinary approaches to advance our understanding of the brain.
