Adult Epileptologist

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of epileptology with a focus on the care and treatment of epilepsy patients. Responsibilities include reading routine EEG as well as inpatient and acute EEG for status epilepticus. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, clinical care, and education. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track. Neurology Board certified (ABPN) with at least two years of intensive neurophysiology training and experience in an ACGME approved Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship.

In addition, experience with continuous EEG interpretation in the Neuro-ICU,intra-operative monitoring and electrocorticography is desirable. It is expected that the applicant will have a plan for academic research and teaching. In particular, the applicant should have experience in high-field multimodal imaging including high resolution T1 structural imaging, functional MRI (BOLD and ASL), and coregistration of PET and MRI.
