Cognitive Research Assistant Professor

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Responsibilities include being involved in developing studies of patients with neurodegenerative conditions, focusing particularly on disorders of language and decision-making in patients with frontotemporal lobar degeneration, Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. In addition, he/she will develop new imaging analytic techniques, and will relate cognitive findings to novel structural MRI studies of cortical atrophy and white matter degeneration. Finally, cognitive and imaging findings will be related to biofluid and genetic biomarkers. He/she will be expected to help supervise laboratory technicians involved in image analysis. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research.

Applicants must have completed a fellowship involving experience with disorders of language in patients with frontotemporal degeneration and associated imaging analyses.
