The Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of retinal gene transfer and translational genetics of retinal disorders. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education.

Successful candidates will be expected to establish an independent research program, have demonstrated substantial accomplishments in biomedical research, and show promise or success in obtaining external research support. For success on the tenure track, candidates must also demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring graduate students. Experience collaborating between academic and non-academic investigators is desirable.
