The Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.

The Department is seeking individuals at the Assistant Professor level with a research program in the field of studies of retinal disease pathogenesis using non-invasive testing and High Resolution imaging. Individuals must have at least three years of postdoctoral experience in a relevant field, and experience in building and developing AO instrumentation and testing it in a clinical setting. Individuals will have clinical responsibilities for the use in High Resolution patient imaging at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and will have an accomplished teaching program. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a strong, independent research program, to make substantial accomplishments in translational research and to develop an independent and internationally respected program using non-invasive approaches to study the human retina in health and disease.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.
