Ocular Inflammation Position in Ophthalmology
Posting Department: Ophthalmology
Expire Date: 12/04/2015
The Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure academic-clinician track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of ocular inflammatory diseases. Responsibilities include providing patient care in the Ocular Inflammation Service at the Scheie Eye Institute and/or its satellite facilities. Educational responsibilities include training residents, fellows and medical students. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, education, and clinical care. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track.

Involvement or anticipated involvement in independent or collaborative research in areas relevant to ocular inflammatory diseases is preferred. Clinical work in an additional subspecialty area is a possibility, but is not required.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.

The University of Pennsylvania is an EOE. Minorities/Women/Individuals with disabilities/Protected Veterans are encouraged to apply.
