Penn Orthopaedics

Orthopaedic Surgery Open Faculty Positions

Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Faculty
Posting Department: Orthopaedic Surgery
Expire Date: 11/27/2014
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Assistant Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include clinical service at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and its outpatient facilities, on call responsibilities, resident and medical school teaching and research. It is desirable for candidates to have experience in either relevant laboratory or clinical research. The tenure track requires an ongoing externally funded research program; faculty in the clinician educator track generally participate in collaborative clinical projects. Evidence of scholarship is required in the tenure and clinician educator track. Fellowship training in Sports Medicine is required. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, research, and education. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track. Board Eligible and/ or Board Certified is a requirement.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.

The University of Pennsylvania is an EOE. Minorities/Women/Individuals with disabilities/Protected Veterans are encouraged to apply.
