The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will be accomplished in the area of head and neck cancer research or upper aerodigestive tract cancer research. Responsibilities include directorship of the Head and Neck Cancer Research Division which involves overseeing the collective cancer research efforts within the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and building collaberations across the School of Medicine and/or Undergraduate School Programs. The candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: epithelial cancer biology; cancer genomics/genetics; cancer diagnostics/biomarkers, cancer therapeutics; or cancer immunology. The incumbent will also provide mentorship in this discipline to medical students, residents, fellows, and post-doctoral trainees. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research.

The selected individual will have an appointment in one of the programs within the Abramson Cancer Center as well as an option to other clinical and basic science departments within the Perelman School of Medicine and University of Pennsylvania as applicable. This position has the potential for an endowed appointment.
