PEDIATRIC PATHOLOGIST - CLINICIAN-EDUCATOR - Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Anatomic Pathology with a focus on Pediatric Neoplasia and Molecular Diagnostics. Responsibilities include regular participation in the surgical pathology and autopsy rotations, involvement in tumor banking for the CHOP biorepositories, assisting in the integration of cytogenomic testing in pediatric neoplastic conditions. Teaching and mentoring of medical students, pathology residents and fellows will be an integral component of the position. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, clinical care, and education. American Board of Pathology certification required in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Pediatric Pathology. Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
The position will be based within the Division of Anatomic Pathology at The Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia. The Perelman School of Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia are known for emphasis on translational research and the candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong record/potential in clinical, translational or collaborative research.
