The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Anatomic Pathology with a focus on Cytopathology and Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures including molecular diagnostics. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board certifications in Anatomic and/or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology are required and an unrestricted PA medical license/eligibility.

While some evidence of scholarship is necessary, and opportunities for collaborative studies exist, research is not essential in the academic clinician track. Candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching and clinical abilities. Participation in a broad spectrum of intra and inter departmental teaching activities including medical students, pathology house-staff and fellows, clinical fellows and peers is necessary.
