Open Faculty Positions

Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Posting Department: Pediatrics
Expire Date: 01/11/2015
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Full, Assistant, and/or Associate Professor positions in either the non-tenure academic-clinician track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Pediatrics with a focus on Emergency Medicine. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track.

We are seeking candidates to provide care in an Emergency Department that has an annual volume of 88,000 visits annually, and participate in the clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows as a member of the Division of Emergency Medicine. Candidates with a strong interest in clinical research are encouraged to apply.

Clinical employment opportunities in Pediatric Emergency Medicine are also being offered for our newest partner, Virtua Voorhees, in Southern New Jersey. This brand new hospital now houses a 16 bed Pediatric Emergency Department, as well as pediatric inpatient and pediatric ICU services. With annual patient volumes in excess of 20,000 children, Virtua Voorhees offers community pediatric emergency medicine, in a high-powered, state of the art facility. Positions at Virtua Voorhees will include an academic appointment, as well as clinical shifts in the CHOP Emergency Department. The distribution of CHOP and Virtua Voorhees shifts is negotiable, and can be tailored to the interests of the applicant.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.

The University of Pennsylvania and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia are EOEs. Minorities/Women/Individuals with disabilities/Protected Veterans are encouraged to apply.
