The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Hematology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, research, and education. Board certified/eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology.

We are seeking a senior, established investigator to expand and direct our program of research in sickle cell disease (SCD) and related hemoglobinopathies within our Sickle Cell Center. Candidates will be physician scientists pursuing innovative, translational research in hemoglobinopathies, preferably in the area of SCD. The successful applicant will be academically productive, well-funded, collaborative and have demonstrated strong leadership skills. This leadership position will be supported by an endowed chair and a generous start up package.
