The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Human Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the tenure track. Track and rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, education, and clinical care.

The position is for the Chief of the Division of Human Genetics. The Division includes both a Clinical Genetics Section and a Metabolic Disease Section and is nationally recognized for its record of excellence in clinical care, research, and education. The Division serves as a key referral resource for infants identified by the Pennsylvania and New Jersey newborn screening programs and has nationally prominent clinical and research programs in 22q11 microdeletion syndrome, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, Alagille syndrome, the genetic basis of craniofacial abnormalities, the genetic basis of complex pediatric disorders, cancer genetics, connective tissue diseases, congenital heart disease, mitochondrial disease, disorders of intermediary metabolism, and lysosomal storage diseases. In addition, the Division has highly competitive training programs that include an ACGME-accredited 4-year integrated pediatrics/genetics residency program, a fellowship program in clinical genetics, and a fellowship program in biochemical genetics, consistently attracting top applicants from across the country. The Division collaborates extensively with colleagues in the genetics community at the University of Pennsylvania and throughout the world.
