The Division of Addictions in the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Responsibilities include writing grants and articles, regulatory oversight of local, national and international research studies, qualitiative and quantitative data analysis, trianing presentations, and supervision, psychotherapy and psychological assessment of patients in research studies, focus group facilitation, and interaction/collaboration with national and international stakeholders. Applicant will be responsible for learning the regulatory and interpersonal aspects of running clinical trials. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.

Basics skills in at least two languages other than English are required. Successful applicant must be able to travel. Screening of applicants will continue until the position is filled. Applicants must hold a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited program, have completed a postdoctoral program in addictions research and hold Pennsylvania licensure as a psychologist. Candidate will be required to submit selected preprints and reprints.
