The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology of the central nervous system with a focus on neuropsychiatric illnesses . Responsibilities include designing, conducting and analyzing biochemical and molecular experiments for brain tissues of huan subjects and or animals. Preparing publications and grant applications and working with the Principal Investiagor. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
