The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Addiction Genetics with a focus on Pharmacogenetics. Responsibilities include ascertainment and study of large cohorts of individuals with various addictions, including those in pharmacotherapy trials. Systematic collection of clinical data and blood samples for genetics is a requirement. Generation of genotypes and of high throughput sequencing data on these populations is a requirement. Documented expertise in statistical analysis of genotypes, as well as generation and analysis of high throughput sequencing data is required. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
