The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Psychology with a focus on pain management, addiction, and medical/graduate education. Responsibilities include direct clinical care, instruction of residents, medical students and fellows in the area of pain management, and conducting research in his/her field. Candidate should have extensive experience in pain management and addiction, and expertise in developing and directing behaviorally-based pain programs. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and research.
Must have current Pennsylvania licensure or license eligible, demonstrated ability to manage behaviorally-based pain program and provide supervision to medical and graduate students, residents and fellows. Final candidate must also have excellent qualifications in education in field of pain and addiction.
