The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will be accomplished in the area of Radiology. Expertise in the specific area of Medical Informatics is required. Responsibilities include working with the chair in providing leadership to the department of radiology. The Vice Chair will be expected to participate in the management of the department including budget, personnel, quality assurance, and department operations. It is expected that the strong expertise of the vice chair in medical informatics will help to develop practice innovations that leverage advances in information technology and imaging science; a graduate degree in computer science or other information science discipline is desirable to provide the expertise and sophisticated understanding of medical informatics envisioned for this position.The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical activities in the area of the candidate's expertise; clinical effort may be negotiable. Teaching of trainees during clinical practice, and mentoring trainees and faculty in informatics related activities is expected. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research, education, and clinical care. Applicants must be American Board of Radiology certified.
