The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure academic-clinician track or the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Track will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy. Responsibilities include clinical care for vascular surgery patients; teaching of medical students, residents and vascular fellows; and--- for candidates for a clinician-educator-track position--- basic science or clinical research in the field. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. While evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track, research is not required in the academic clinician track. Applicants must be certified by the American Board of Surgery for general and vascular surgery.
Candidates must have vascular surgery fellowship training. The clinical practice affiliated with this position will be housed primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
