The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of adult and pediatric kidney transplantation, vascular access and pancreas transplantation. Responsibilities include clinical duties in these areas, with lesser focus on liver transplantation; teaching of medical students, surgical residents and transplant fellows; and translational or clinical research in the noted specialties. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery or eligible for such certification.

Applicants displaying strong experience with and interest in clinical and/or translational research will be preferred. The clinical practice for this position will be focused at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, with secondary duties at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
