Faculty Position - Hospitalist Program
Posting Department: Medicine
Expire Date: 11/04/2015
The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate, Full, and/or Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education. Board Certified in Internal Medicine is a requirement for the position.

We are seeking ideal candidates for our Academic Hospitalist Program. Candidates will have experience as a practicing hospitalist and educator but those with less experience will be considered. This recruitment coincides with the recent creation of a unique teaching program at an affiliated hospital and includes substantial time for teaching students and residents. The Hospitalist Group at Penn has been in existence for over ten years and plays an integral role in the hospital infrastructure and the Internal Medicine Residency Program. There is time and support to pursue individual educational and research interests and ample academic opportunities including quality improvement, patient safety, medical education, and informatics. Clinical work may include teaching, non-teaching, consult medicine, and limited nights.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.

The University of Pennsylvania is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
