Tenure Track Faculty Position in Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care

The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical care, and research. Applicants must have appropriate post-graduate clinical training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with ABIM Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care, and be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Penn invites applicants with an investigative wet-bench focus on lung development and/or lung cell biology. The successful candidates should demonstrate a productive track record during post-doctoral research training with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary science. As a new faculty member, the successful applicants will be expected to establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry. Additional responsibilities will include clinical activity and teaching within the PENN provider network, as well as participation as an active member of PENN graduate programs based on his/her research focus.
