The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Board Certified in Nephrology and have demonstrated outstanding qualifications in education of medical students, residents and fellows, and in clinical care in nephrology.
The successful applicant will be asked to expand our general nephrology and dialysis practice directly affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania in Radnor, Pennsylvania. This individual will also spend considerable time caring for patients on both inpatient and outpatient services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He or she will be expected to have experience in clinical nephrology and dialysis, including peritoneal dialysis and will teach students, residents and fellows at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. A strong emphasis on patient care and teaching is required in the AC track. Applicants will have opportunity for participation in clinical research trials; however research is not required in the AC track.
