Academic Clinician, Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension

The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Board Certified in Nephrology, and must have specialized training and demonstrated excellence in the care of kidney transplant patients. Applicants should have demonstrated outstanding qualifications in education of medical students, residents and fellows, and in clinical care in nephrology.

The successful applicant will join the Penn Transplant Institute where he/she will participate in the care of kidney transplant patients on both inpatient and outpatient services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. A strong emphasis on patient care and teaching is required in the AC track. Applicants will have opportunity for participation in clinical research trials; however research is not required in the AC track.
