Practice and Research Approaches to Dysphagia:
How to evaluate a pharynx and prevent aspiration pneumonia?

Dr. Chiba received her PhD in Discharge Planning, Geriatric Nursing from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan in 2006.  She continues to practice and her research focus is on risk management of dysphagia to promote human life.  She is also a councilor of the Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation and a pioneer, receiving the most Japanese grants in this field.
