PBHMind OCD Symposium - March 1-2, 2013
"Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Across the Developmental Spectrum"
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) protocols have been established as efficacious for children, adolescents, and adults with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). In its inaugural event on March 1st -2nd, PBHMind presents a symposium on OCD, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Across the Developmental Spectrum.
Presentation topics in this symposium will include:
- Proper assessment of OCD with children, adolescents and adults
- Implementation of CBT for OCD
- Addressing low motivation
- Working with families
- Considering CBT and medication strategies together
- Modifying treatment procedures to accommodate patients
- with OCD who also suffer from autism spectrum conditions.
The level of this symposium is appropriate for mental health professionals (psychologists, social workers, LCSWs, LPCs, licensed counselors) and other clinicians with interest in providing CBT for patients with OCD across the developmental spectrum.
