Norman Hecht, PhD, a creative scientist, devoted friend and colleague died February 28, 2013 in Seattle where he was receiving treatment for pancreatic cancer. He was a pioneer in the field of spermatogenesis and a marvelous man we all knew as "Norm."
Norman Bernard Hecht retired in April of 2011 as Emeritus Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Reginer) and their two children, David in San Francisco and Rachelle in Seattle, and 4 grandchildren.
