The Assoian Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

Postdoctoral Openings

Description

Post-doctoral positions periodically become available for recent PhDs (0-3 years experience).

In addition to the studies outlined in "About our Lab," lab members and applicants are always encouraged to suggest potential new projects falling within our research interests, broadly defined.

Qualifications

Applications are welcome from recent PhDs in cell biology, biochemistry or related fields with a strong publication record in graduate school. Practical experience in cell culture and in biochemical/molecular approaches to cell biology is usually required. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of the cell cycle, ECM/integrins, signal transduction, or growth control in general.

Additionally, applicants with interest in our research program and experience in transgenic/knock-out mouse technology are encouraged to apply. Eligibility for appointment as a postdoctoral fellow/researcher requires an advanced degree (Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent).
