Hydrogen-Deuterium exchange Mass Spectrometry (HX-MS)

This methodology is useful for measuring protein backbone dynamics and structure in purified proteins and complexes. Solvent accessibility is reflected in the ability of hydrogens in the structure to exchange with deuterium in solvent, as measured by mass spectrometry.

  • LTQ-Orbitrap equipped with customized chromatography for HX on front end.
