Postdocs are free with Penn card to enter the Hutchinson gym located on 32nd Street facing the tennis courts. Inside the gym, there are free courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and squash, including a swimming pool and fitness center.

Currently there are several sports in active weekly:
Badminton: Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday night 7-10pm at Huch gym, basically UPenn club members only. To join the club, check .
Volleyball: ISSVC (international student and scholar volleyball club) is playing volleyball every Thursday night at Huch gym, to know more about the club, check .
Squash: Free reserve at night, reservation phone: 215-898-5373.

Shorinji Kempo, Japanese martial art classes :
We are offering Shorinji Kempo classes at the Ethical Society Building

Training times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9pm
Shorinji Kempo is a Japanese martial art that consists of a unique is the blend
of techniques. The self-defence techniques are broken down into Goho or 'hard'
techniques (i.e. punches, kicks and blocks) and Juho or 'soft' techniques (i.e.
eludes, throws and pins). In addition, seated meditation (zazen), philosophy
(Kongo Zen) and therapeutic massage
(seiho) are exercised. Training in Shorinji Kempo produces three main benefits;
healthy body, healthy mind and the ability to defend yourself.
If you're looking to keep fit, become more coordinated and flexible in a

Intramural Sports
The postdoctoral Council organizes teams to play in intramural sports that are organized by the University of Pennsylvania Department of Recreation (PennRec). We have even won the Intramural Soccer championship in 2001! Below you will find a schedule of intramural sports that will be available from PennRec. This section will be updated soon.
