Graduate students

Our lab is currently affiliated with three graduate programs at Penn: CAMB, BMB and Pharmacology. We welcome graduate students from any of these programs to get in touch about possible research rotation topics related to the work we are doing. Information about ongoing research projects is featured on this website. Please contact Dr. Brass here if you would like to know more.

Medical students

Penn medical students are invited to join us for a summer lab rotation or a possible research year. Previous students have used this as an opportunity to re-enter the world of research and to shape their clinical interests. Please contact Dr. Brass here if you would like to know more.

Postdoctoral trainees

We regularly consider candidates headed towards an independent research career and an interest hematology in general and hemostasis and thrombosis research in particular. The community of like-minded investigators at Penn is well-established and has a long track record of training future investigators. Candidates eligible to be supported by NIH postdoctoral training funds should read about the Hematology Research Training Program here.

Undergraduates

We are happy to discuss possible research projects with Penn undergraduates headed towards a career in biomedical research, either as PhD or MD/PhD candidates. Many of the undergrads who have worked with us in the past are now in MD/PhD programs, medical school or graduate school. Projects typically involve part time efforts during the school year and full time effort during the summer. Please contact Dr. Brass here if you would like to know more.
