Janice F. Biddle, MSN, CRNP
Ms. Biddle earned her MSN with a dual major in the Adult Health Nurse Practitioner and Nursing & Health Care Administration Programs at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Nursing. She is a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Pennsylvania in the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program, providing medical assessments for potential study subjects. She participated in Dr. Perlis’ training for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. She is also a member of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Nicotine. Prior to joining the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program, Ms. Biddle worked at the Treatment Research Center and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center providing clinical treatment and research in the areas of substance dependence, outpatient detoxification, depression, insomnia, psychopharmacology, and treatment noncompliance. She enhanced treatment compliance in substance dependent subjects with “Medical Management” and “BRENDA”, psychosocial interventions. She also trained medical practitioners in “Medical Management” for multi-site studies like COMBINE and Alcohol Care Management.
