"The highlight of the day was the interaction with the interns talking about their programs and learning about resources ... The connections with other organizations are too many to name ... I am so impressed with what BTG is doing for the students and for this community."

About Our Guest Speaker
Best known for her role as Detective Kima Greggs on the critically acclaimed HBO series "The Wire," Sonja Sohn worked with fellow cast members in 2008 on a voter empowerment tour in Philadelphia and through Virginia and North Carolina. She saw how her celebrity could be used responsibly to inspire underserved populations. That same year she founded ReWired for Change to empower at-risk youth and families through education, media and social advocacy, and intergenerational programs. www.rewiredforchange.org. |
