EVENT DESCRIPTION:

The Annual Symposium is a full day of science and social interaction for CAMB Faculty and Students (Post-Docs from faculty labs are also invited to attend).

Talks will be presented by faculty from three of the CAMB Programs (it will alternate next year with the other three CAMB programs)...and six students, one from each program. We also have an outside Keynote speaker, Dr. Charles Rice.

All CAMB Students who are thesis level (one year past prelim) are expected to present posters, and all other CAMB Students may volunteer to do so. There is a small panel of faculty judges who will award the top posters $100 prizes at the end of the day. There are times set aside throughout the day when people can look at posters and discuss them with the students. (We sincerely apologize, but due to space constraints, only CAMB Students will be allowed to present posters - no outside or faculty posters.)

There will be a continental breakfast in the morning, a box lunch in the afternoon, and a cocktail reception to end the day (as well as two beverage/snack breaks between speakers).

Some of our sponsors will put up vendor tables in the lobby to display their products. They provide financial support for our event, and we encourage all Faculty and Post-Docs to stop and speak with them at some point during the day. (We want to be sure to show our appreciation of their support!)
