Dr. Levine specializes in the care of patients with severe injury to the nervous system, including patients with acute traumatic brain and spine injury, those with subarachnoid hemorrhage, ischemic stokes, intracerebral hemorrhages, acute seizures, brain infections, and severe acute neuromuscular disorders. His research interests include defining the optimal use of advanced technology to monitor the brain for secondary injury, and using multimodality monitoring to decipher the pathophysiology of secondary injury.
