Gregory L. Beatty, MD, PhD
Assistant Professor of Medicine Division of Hematology/Oncology
Dr. Beatty graduated in 1995 from Bucknell University with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He then continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a PhD in Immunology in 2000. After his graduate studies, he went on to complete his medical training and received an MD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In 2012, he joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology.
Research Interests
The Beatty Laboratory incorporates both basic science research and clinical investigation to define strategies for leveraging the immune system for the treatment of cancer. Our mission is to define mechanisms of resistance and response to immunotherapy in an effort to design novel effective strategies that can improve outcomes for patients.
