Environmental Health Sciences Core Centers Meeting 2008
Each year, a different EHS Center hosts the Environmental Health Sciences Core Centers Meeting (also called the Center Directors’ Meeting.) In October of 2008 our Center hosted the meeting here in Philadelphia. To learn more about the overall meeting, click here. During the meeting, the directors and staff of the Community Outreach and Education Cores had a number of their own breakout sessions. The COEC special sessions focused on such topics as Evaluating Program Outcomes, the new Partnerships for Environmental Public Health program at the NIEHS, and Enhancing Outreach Using Technology-Based Tools. On Tuesday morning, COEC Director Dr. Edward Emmett gave a highly insightful presentation entitled "Translation in Environmental Health Sciences."
