• The Center of Comparative Effectiveness in Genomic Medicine (CEGeM) at Penn Mission Statement
The Center of Comparative Effectiveness in Genomic Medicine (CEGeM) at Penn is a coordinated, multidisciplinary, NCI funded center for the generation and synthesis of evidence to support the translation of genomic tests into improvements in cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
  • The Center of Comparative Effectiveness in Genomic Medicine (CEGeM) at Penn Evidence Generation
We conduct pilot studies investigating the comparative effectiveness of genomic tests in cancer prevention, screening, treatment and survivorship. These studies examine questions of immediate relevance for genomic medicine and lay the foundation for future research in these areas. We develop, test and refine infrastructure for the key steps necessary for the efficient implementation of subsequent studies across the spectrum of genomic medicine, recognizing that the number of important questions related to the comparative effectiveness of genomic medicine is large and likely to continue to increase.
  • The Center of Comparative Effectiveness in Genomic Medicine (CEGeM) at Penn Evidence Synthesis and Decision Modeling
The use of evidence synthesis methods, such as systematic reviews, meta-analyses and decision and cost-effectiveness models, complements evidence generation activities by bringing together the available pieces to create a more comprehensive picture of the risks and benefits of alternative approaches.
  • The Center of Comparative Effectiveness in Genomic Medicine (CEGeM) at Penn Contextual Reports
